Lila Cate: Four Months

It's been a fun month with our sweet Lila Cate. She's becoming a lot more interactive. She is the easiest baby and very good-natured. She rarely cries, but is also very sensitive. If you barely bump her head or a zipper scratches her, she cries so hard. It doesn't last long, but she is a wimp about getting hurt. She smiles a lot, especially if you make bubble noises with your mouth. She also loves to blow bubbles with her mouth. She started sitting in her Bumbo seat this month. She still loves her play mat on the floor, but she does not like the swing as much as she used to. She loves standing up. If she could be held up on her feet at all times, she would. She loves to suck on her hand and she is drooling a lot. One bottom tooth is peaking through, but has not broken through the gums yet. She is not rolling over on her own. She still loves to be naked, so diaper changes and bath time are her favorites.

She just doesn't like to sleep at night. In the third month, her sleeping really regressed and she started waking up every 2 hours. At four months, things have gotten a little better, but she's still waking up every 3 hours or so. We are starting sleep training so she will hopefully learn to put herself back to sleep in the middle of the night. We also need to stop swaddling her which may make the sleep worse.

February 9: First visit to church, Holy Comforter. She was awake the entire time, but didn't cry.
February 25: Lila laughed for the first time. It was so cute!
March 2: She slept in her crib all night for the first time. I had a very hard time moving her out of our room, but it was necessary given how much she was waking up.
March 3: Grandma visited for the week and got Lila Cate out of daycare.

She is still in size 1 diapers and is wearing 3 month clothes.

March 11 (late 4 month doctor visit due to a snow day):
13 lb 1 oz (21%)
25" long (64%)
16" head circumference (43%)
She handled her shots well and only cried for about 2 minutes. I was surprised it wasn't worse because she's so sensitive.
Watery eyes from a cold
 Cuddling with Cullen
 Happy girl
Pretty nightgown from Aunt Ruth
 Tummy time
 Bumbo seat
And this is what happens when we bring Cullen to the park. Boys will be boys. MUD!
