Lila Cate: Nine Months

Milestones:

July 3 - Lila starts pushing up to the crawl position
July 20 - Lila can move around and scoot to places, but she's not officially crawling
July 26 - Lila can move from her stomach to sitting up on her own
July 30 - Lila starts crawling
Lila is babbling consonants (dada, Lila, baba), but she isn't associating the words with their meaning yet. She's now wearing size 3 diapers and is still wearing 9 month clothing. She's still exclusively breastfed and loves all of her pureed foods. She started eating cheerios this month.

At Lila's 9 month check-up on August 8:
Weight - 17 lb 4 oz (32%)
Height - 27.5 inches (40%)
Head Circumference - 17.5 inches (66%)

On July 4, we went to the Pinsons for a cookout. We watched the fireworks from our neighborhood. Lila Cate wore one of the dresses that my Grandma smocked for me as a baby.

On July 12-13, Andrew played in the ACAC Clay Court Tennis Tournament and won the singles draw. On July 19, Stephen visited for his birthday weekend.

On July 26, we went to a birthday party for Cullen's good buddies Tyler and Austin Perpetua. On July 27, we met up at Smith Aquatic Center with some of Cullen's friends from First Steps.

 We read "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" to Cullen, his first chapter book. He LOVED it!

Lila Cate: Eight Months

Cullen graduated from the Panda Bear class at CDS (3 year olds) on June 6.

Lila was baptized on June 14 in Holy Comforter Church. We had a lunch at Hamiltons following the baptism. It was wonderful to have both sets of grandparents here. Her Godparents, Chris Juge and Jennifer O'Hair, also made the trip to Charlottesville. We loved having them here!

This is the look that Lila Cate gave Papa the first few days he was in town. A bit unsure of the mustache.

June 3: First tooth pops through
June 12: Lila Cate weighed 16 lb 2 oz
June 15: Second tooth pops through
She's still wearing size 2 diapers and now wears 9 month clothing. She's still exclusively breastfed and loves all pureed food - peas, carrots, sweet, potatoes, green beans.

Cullen continues to be the sweetest big brother ever. He likes to steal her toys, but besides that, he loves her so much. He likes to call her 'She-She' and 'Tiny'.
June 3: Cullen says, "I'm so glad God gave Lila to us because she's the comfiest and she's the cutest and she always wants to play with me. And she always wants to talk to me."
June 10: Cullen says, "I'm glad God picked Lila to be ours because she's so sweet to me."
