Oh my sweet Lila Cate, we love you so much. You spent most of the month smiling. You smile at anyone that smiles at you. You continue to be an easy baby, though you are still an awful sleeper. You slept through the night (11 pm to 7 am) for the first time on April 24, but that lasted less than a week. Most nights you wake up once between 3:30 and 4:30, but some nights you like to get up every few hours.
April 21 - Started feeding her rice cereal. She took to it quickly and loves to eat.
April 24 - She started playing in an Exersaucer and loved it.
On April 27, we had a Family Fitness Fair for Cullen's school where he ran in his first race - a 50 yard dash. He came in 3rd place for the 3 year olds.
May 3 - She started sleeping on her tummy. She rolls to her stomach almost every night in her crib. On the same day, she started sitting up by herself (though she was very wobbly). We also took the kids to the circus with the Pinsons and Heyns.
Six month check up on May 5
Weight: 14 lb. 13 oz (23%)
Heights: 27 inches (87%)
Head: 17 inches (76%)
Lila Cate is still in size 2 diapers and 6 month clothes. I'm still nursing full time and go feed her at lunch everyday at daycare. She still drinks about 5 ounces of pumped milk each feeding and eats rice cereal at breakfast and dinner time.
The Hammonds visited us Easter weekend, April 18-20, and it was so great to see Molly and Coleman and Eamonn. Cullen had some trouble sharing his toys and I was sick as a dog, but it was still wonderful to see an old friend and her precious boys. We hid Easter eggs, did Easter baskets, and went and got Sweethaus cupcakes. They left early Sunday morning and we took the kids to church. Cullen did not behave and we had to leave in the middle of church.
