Doctor Visit #3

We went to the doctor today with hopes of finding out the sex of our baby. We had no such luck - the ultrasound technician didn't even make a guess. She said it was just too early to tell. We had a pre-screening for down syndrome and all looks good! The nose is developing properly and there is no fluid buildup behind the neck, both signs of a healthy baby. At our last ultrasound, around 8 weeks, the baby was only 1.58 cm. In a little over 4 weeks, the baby has grown to 5.72 cm! The baby was VERY active during the ultrasound, flailing his/her arms everywhere and rolling around most of the time. The heartbeat was 173 bpm. It was a very exciting visit and we feel so blessed to have a healthy child thus far!
